1 Lasting Powers of Attorney.
One LPA £300, Two LPA’s £500 and Four LPA’s £900. No VAT. Court fees of £82 per LPA, £41 per LPA for those with limited income are currently payable and those in receipt of certain
benefits can apply for the court fee to be waived entirely.
These are valuable to enable your financial and health issues to be administered in later life during what may potentially be a difficult time for both the client and their relatives. I am happy to provide advice during an initial discussion without charge if you wish to know more detail before deciding to proceed.
2 Employment – Compromise Agreements when instructed by an employee.
The fees are generally met by the Employer due to the requirement that Employees require legal advice before entering an agreement. Unless advised my fees will be limited by the fee that an Employer is willing to offer.
3 Equity Release – I work with another firm of solicitors Adlington Law who are also members of the Equity Release Council. The total fee for dealing with an equity release transaction is £650 + VAT + routine disbursements in standard cases. There may be additional fees in the event that there are circumstances that require additional work but you will be advised about this and these will be dictated by the particular circumstances relating to individual cases.
4 Divorce – For an uncontested divorce agreed as such at the outset my fee is £300 with no VAT. The Court fee would be £550 subject to exemptions based on means testing.
For settling a consent order based on an agreement reached between the parties on the basis of a straightforward clean break agreement my charges would be £400 with no VAT plus a court fee of £50.
For ongoing litigation I can offer funding options including finance from a third party provider in suitable cases.
5 Anything else – My practice is to discuss and understand the legal issue or issues that need to be resolved, agree a level and method of funding and to regularly monitor costs by providing bills at each stage of the matter.
